Vision of the Department:-

          The department improves human life style and well being of regional and local communities by prevention of diseases through effective application of knowledge of food science, Nutrition and Dietetics.

Mission of the Department:-

          The mission of the department is for better human health in society by:-

  • Contributing to the knowledge of nutrients and their functions at cellular, systematic and whole body levels.
  • Providing innovative research and service programmes with the goal of improved health of families and communities.
  • We focus on delivering knowledge to post – Graduate students through high quality teaching, training, and practical exposure
  • Planning diet plans, visiting Anganwadi centers for Anthropometic techniques, and evaling awareness about state related schemes.
  • Visiting of industries to know various processing, preservation and packaging techniques.
  • After completion of M.Sc they can undergo 6 months internship in Multispecialty (or) Super Specialty (or) Govt hospital for studying patient case history, and giving nutritional counseling.
